Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my Survivor blog, Back to the Island! This is the place to find out my thoughts on what is my favorite reality show of all time, Survivor. I come from the point of view of a reformed casual-someone who watched the first two seasons live and then drop out after the first episode of Africa. It wasn't until a contestant from my neck of the woods appeared on Survivor:Amazon that I returned to the fold for the last couple of episodes of that particular season. This off-and-on activity would continue for several seasons until I watched China in its entirety as a bored high school senior. Unfortunately, I didn't watch any other complete season after China until San Juan del Sur due to being a college student. But, thanks to a rabid internet presence, I became hooked and slowly working my way up the super-fan charts. Since I have only seen (from my estimation) six full seasons, I have a ways to go. But, I decided to blog about my thoughts as a way to hold myself accountable for continuing the journey to watch Survivor.
With that in mind, this is a blog with season spoilers but not cast and boot spoilers for future seasons. For example, I know who won Heroes vs. Villains, but I don't know who won Survivor: Cambodia (and let's keep it that way, shall we?) I will blogging about my favorite moments from watching the show live, my favorite characters, and my favorite seasons. Plus, once Survivor: Cambodia starts, I will be blogging my thoughts on that as well. But, until then, I will end this preamble by asking for any other suggestions on what I should blog about.
